Regional Counter-Trafficking Program in Central Asia (Kyrgyzstan component)

  • Project title: The USAID Counter-Trafficking Project
  • Funds allocated for Kyrgyzstan through IOM: $746 414 USD
  • Duration: June 2010 – September 2015. In Kyrgyzstan the project was launched on October 2011

Main Project activities:

  • Assistance to victims of trafficking in return, rehabilitation and reintegration
  • Awareness-raising of the dangers of human trafficking and risks of being trafficked
  • Capacity building of NGO partners

  • Project title: Empowering victims of trafficking, vulnerable migrants, their families and communities
  • Funds allocated for Kyrgyzstan through IOM: 786 216 USD
  • Duration: May 2013 – April 2016

Main Project activities:

  • Assistance to victims of trafficking and vulnerable migrants in return, rehabilitation, reintegration and income-generation
  • Support of shelters for victims of trafficking and Center of Adaptation and Reintegration of Minors
  • Support of Call-Center “Stop! Trafficking”
  • Capacity building of NGO partners
